ALICE BATES BSc (Hons) RVN A1- Head Nurse

Alice graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in June 2008 after completing a four year BSc in veterinary nursing. During her training she spent time in several different veterinary practices including referral practices and here at Farthings.
Alice started work at Farthings in June 2008 becoming an assessor for student nurses in 2009. Since November 2010 Alice has been the Practice's Head Nurse.
She has been learning British Sign language since 2008 and is currently completing a pre level 6 NVQ Course.
In her "spare" time, Alice enjoys eating out with friends, going to the cinema and is an avid camper!
Alice has two cats, Peanut and Dixie, and a Spaniel cross called Charlie.
FRANCES GAUDIANO RVN - Senior Nurse
Frances qualified in 1998 while practising at the RSPCA Hospital in North London.
She has worked at the Royal Veterinary College in clinical research as well as outpatient diagnostics for ophthalmolgy and dermatology.
In 2002, Frances received her diploma in dermatology for veterinary nurses, achieving the highest marks over all. She has published a book on veterinary dermatology and has written several articles for the Veterinary Nursing Journal.
In her spare time she attempts to do agility with her two naughty Border Terriers.
HELI REYNOLDS RVN- Veterinary Nurse

Heli has spent the last six years nursing in small, mixed and emergency clinics. Qualifying in 2009 Heli joined Farthings in 2010 and is now starting a two year diploma course in canine behaviour and training.
At home, she has the cutest Boston Terrier called Beau and a small, handreared rabbit called Bunny. Heli enjoys walking Beau and taking her to agility.
ROBYN REED RVN- Senior Nurse

Robyn has been at Farthings since 2005 qualifying as a registered veterinary nurse in 2008.
Robyn runs our popular PUPPY PARTIES which is one of her favourite activities.
She also enjoys nursing inpatients.
Robyn has a virtual zoo including five cats, a staffie cross American Bulldog called Princess, a Bassett Fauve de Bretagne called Bertie as well as Lucky her rabbit.
Robyn is also a keen photographer and enjoys taking pet portraits. She hopes to do more in the future.
CARON BUDDEN RVN - Veterinary Nurse

Caron has been working in practice since 2006 qualifying 2010 and joined the Farthings team this year.
In between looking after her rabbit and three cats, one of whom she had reared from two weeks old, Caron also enjoys sailing competitively around the country and showing off her classic Mini Cooper at motoring events.
SUE HEFFER

Sue, Farthings resident chicken expert, has been with the Practice for 25 years.
When not working Sue spends her spare time looking after her menagerie of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens and horses.
LOUISA STRIBLEY - Student Veterinary Nurse

Louisa has just completed hersecond year of training at Plumpton College and has been with Farthings since 2009. Before then Louisa worked at Pet's Corner in Horsham.
Her favourite part of her role at Farthings is helping run the Puppy Parties.
She has a lovely Cavalier called Sasha who is five and a half years old and is a total mummy's girl. Sasha likes nothing more than meeting for a walk with the other nurses and their dogs.
KATHERINE FILBY - Student Veterinary Nurse

Kat is in her final year of the Veterinary Nursing Diploma. She enjoys learning new skills and hopes to further her knowledge when qualified.
Kat has a Border Collie called Bear who takes up a lot of her spare time along with her many other animals including her rescued kitten Kipper.
Kat has been with Farthings since 2008 and has a keen interest in surgical nursing particularly enjoying assisting with orthopaedic surgery.
COLETTE BIRD SVN - Student Veterinary Nurse

Lettie is a student veterinary nurse in her final year of training who joined Farthings in January 2011. She has been working in the veterinary industry since 2007 and previously ran her own business dog walking and pet sitting.
She enjoys rollerblading and motorbiking with her fiance and looking after her hamster Squish.
HAYLEY STUBBS, SVN
Hayley is a Student Veterinary Nurse in her first year of training having previously completed the Animal Nursing course in 2010.
She enjoys seeing friends and dog walks in her spare time and owns a free roaming lionhead lop called Charlie.
GINA BALLEN

Gina is a young student who will be starting her official training at Plumpton College this year.
She has two years experience working in a practice and has previously worked in a busy kennels handling dogs.
At home, she has a nutty Hungarian Vizsla to contend with and plans to start field trials with her early next year. She also has two cats and two rescue rabbits.
CRYSTAL WOODROW

Crystal has been with Farthings since 2007 and is a qualified Animal Nursing Assistant. She loves working with and learning about animals and is hoping to start her Veterinary Nursing course at Plumpton College this September.
At home Crystal has three very crazy but extremely cute cats and is a self-confessed cat lover.
