Saturday 10am-11am
The free checks we offer are;
ADOLESCENT CLINICS
Aimed at dogs aged 6-8 months (approx.)
Your dog will have a clinical examination by a nurse during this 30 minute appointment. They will discuss any concerns and give advice as required.
It is also a good opportunity to get your puppy familiarised with the veterinary environment whilst young.
KITTEN CLINICS
Aimed at kittens aged 12 weeks-6 months (approx.)
The appointment will last approximately 30 minutes and during this time your cat will have a full clinical examination by a nurse. Any concerns can be discussed and advice given as needed.
It is also a good opportunity to get you cat used to being examined and coming into the practice.
WEIGHT CLINICS
For overweight cats and dogs.
We will provide advice and support for clients helping their pets lose weight. Pets are normally referred after seeing a vet however, should you wish to discuss this in any event please call and ask to speak to one of the nurses. We will supply diets specifically for each individual.
DENTAL CLINICS
Aimed at dogs and cats after they have had a scale and polish and/or extractions, or young pets to prevent dental problems occurring.
After your pet has had any dental work it is very important to continue/start regular dental care routines. During this appointment the nurse will discuss with you toothpastes, brushing, diet and any other concerns that you may have.
We are also happy to advise you if you haven't seen a vet about your pet's teeth, but we may need to refer you to a vet should the situation demand it.
Other appointments with nurses, some of which entail a small fee, are;
- Claw Clipping
- Worm or flea treatment administration
- Dematting (heavily matted pets may need to be admitted as day patients this can be discussed when booking the appointment.)
- Dressing and Bandage changes
- Husbandry advice for exotic pets e.g tortoises and chickens
- Tick Removal (no charge)
If you would like any general advice please call and speak to one of our nurses who will be more than happy to discuss concerns with you and refer you on to a vet if required.

It is an opportunity to socialise the puppies and allows them to make friends with other puppies of all shapes and sizes.
